Do you mean that you want user to be able to search something that are related with easyblog post inside your easysocial? If that so you can use easysocial smart search components to search for something that are related to blog post only as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/vDxv68BB .

What about the easy blog feature for easy social, would that enable my users to post something that can be searched, or is that the same it will just post the new blogs into the stream?

User can use easyblog apps to create a new blog post the same way as you create inside the easyblog itself. Refer my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/Pe07MVUWt . When the blog is created, it will automatically create a stream inside your easysocial as you can see from my first screenshot above.
