Is there a way to move a Group to a different Category?
Hello Jackson,

I am sorry but unfortunately this isn't possible yet at this point of time

Perhaps this might be considered for ES 1.3 or ES 1.4? I personally haven't needed this yet, but it does sound like a handy little addition.

It's not really as easy as "updating" the category id in the database because groups has different custom fields depending on their category. You would also need to re-map the custom fields to the other category

Mark,

Ahh yes, I forgot about the Category Custom Fields. Well, it was the first Group I ever created that I don't want to delete so I just modified the category value in the table _cluster. But, I did not change any or created new Custom fields on all my Categories, I guess I'm safe. Unless you say No!

Thanks,

Jackson

Oh yikes! I did not realize that issue. Well I gotta say that groups are more flexible than I originally thought in terms of custom fields. I'll have to think about this or settle.

Hello Jackson,

It should be safe but once you start editing the group, you might hit into some other issues but I guess it's fine if you only have very little fields

This is something that I'd like to see happen in the near future as our groups are stages a group will go through from developing a game to a finished product.

Count my vote for this, too. This is important, especially if we allow members to create a group and they put it in the wrong category.
