Hi There,

When I go to Applications, I can see some apps but I cannot edit it. Aren't I supposed to be able to edit Apps settings? For example, relationship app.

Maybe I did a wrong setting somewhere, can you help me figure it out please.

Thanks,
Jackson
Hi Jackson,
Are you referring to the frontend or backend? The relationship app should look like this(http://take.ms/dUpyz).
Relationship options are configured at a profile's custom field(http://take.ms/GvM3F).

Hi Raymond,

I am referring to the front end Applications. Maybe Relationship App is not a good example, I don't remember which Apps does have a user settings in the frontend.

Can you confirm if maybe I was just imagining it is there any front end Edit for users in any Apps? Maybe there's none for some but some does have it.

Currently, all of the available user Apps in our website does not have user settings.

Thanks,

Jackson

Hey Jackson,
Yes you are correct. Not all apps have settings in the frontend(http://take.ms/SAqFt).
If you have a particular app that you would like to confirm, let us know so we can check.

Hi Raymond,

Can you help me figure out please, our website DB for ES was migrated/upgraded from J2.5 since ES 1.0 and I don't know if there's a messed up in the record or something. If you look at the Applications, you'll find only few Apps like Friends, Photos, Relationship, Videos, and My Giving History (my custom app). I belong to Site Admin Profile and I checked few more apps to be default for that Profile type but I cannot see it in Browse Apps. Shouldn't I see all the available Apps in browse layout?

I guess that was the main reason why I asked for that App front end settings cause I cannot see all other apps aside from what I mentioned above.

Thanks,

Jackson

Hey Jackson,
For apps that are marked as default in the applications page from the backend, they will not appear in the applications listing in the frontend. If you want the app the appear in the frontend applications page, you have to disable the default state of the app.
