We want voting to be available, even to guests, on the forum (link: http://www.itoa-landscape.org/Discussions/latest.html)

I have already done the following:
- In tabs, "Enable Polls for guests" is set to Yes
- In settings, general, voting "Allow voting on question", "Allow Guest to vote question", "Allow votings on reply", "Allow Guest to vote reply" are set to Yes

However I don't see any button to vote with.
Hello Martin Perlin,

Is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this? Please advise.

Is voting only based on setting up a poll question? Is there a way to simply cast a vote in support of the discussion question?

Yes we are talking about the same thing. Your screenshot (Title) shows what I thought is the voting.
The confusing part for me, is that this doesn't seem intuitive to the user that they are supposed to use this mechanism to vote with. There is no 'Vote Here' button.
Unless I don't understand the underlying concept of how the Voting mechanism is supposed to be used in the Discussion forum.

Does that make sense what I am describing?

Hello Martin,

Correct me if I'm wrong, you want a voting system where user can choose which option they want to vote and they can see percentage of overall vote, right? If so, Easydiscuss has provided Polls system which is different with Vote system. Vote system is like a 'Like' button in Facebook. This is the example of Polls system: http://screencast.com/t/WgxThdiPJ .

Yes we were expecting the Vote system to work similar to a 'Like' button in Facebook. Is there another compenent for that?

Hello Martin,

If you like to have something similar to facebook Like, why don't you try our vote system? Is there any issue with it? Or I've misunderstood you maybe. Please advise.

I thought we did enable the voting system, as in this screen grab but my point was that this isn't intuitive for vistors to click on to cast their vote

Hello Martin Perlin,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Regarding your concern that you can try change the Easydiscuss theme and see which theme you feel that is make user to intuitive to cast their vote?
In my opinion, you also can create a discussion post mention about this vote system is here -> http://screencast.com/t/5Asjz33sW <- then set it to features discussion post.
Hope this help.
