How display a list on the side of my blog?

Hi Guyy,
Happy new year.
I would to display a list of articles on the side of my blog.
Or an overview on the side.

Please see sample attacment.
Where it says catagories or archieves.

Also is there a modual I could download to add and display the just a few of the last blogs?

Please advise.

Hmm, I didn't see any attachment on this post, could you mind attach the sample screenshot again so we can know what exactly your requirement?
