How can I stop a test mail being sent to the subscribers?

When I post a test question I find in email Activity area about 73 mails pending to be sent to different people. I think these are the subscribers.

How can I stop a test mail being sent to the subscribers? These emails are created even if I have disabled the following:

ED--> backend-->setting-->Notification-->Notify thread susbscribers when replied =NO



NOTE: I am testing my site on my test URL: http://www.parthverma.com
1. If they are a participant of the thread, they will be notified.
2. To delete mails, you can do so in the mail activities section

They are not participants. probably they are subscribers.

You are absolutely right, but how can i stop it in test mode.

It is not stopped even if I set it off in the Notification settings as I mentioned in my main post.

You cannot stop it unless you turn off the cron if you are running a cronjob.
