Hello

We can create a Group then an Event linked to this Group (a 'Group Event').

A user created an Event (without no Group) but, in fact, he wanted to create a 'Group Event'.

My question is : how can I link an Event to a Group when the Event has been created without any Group?

Est-ce qu'il est possible depuis la console d'admin de rattacher un évènement qui a été créé hors groupe sur un groupe existant?
Hey Henri ,

Sorry unfortunately you can't link the events created under Events cluster to the Group cluster. You need to delete that event and create it again under the group.

Hey Suganthi

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, the Event has been already fullfilled by comments then I do not want to remove it and to create a new Event Group.

I understand that it is not possible to link this Event to a Group by using the Admin backend.

But maybe possible at the Database level ?
Do you know if I can just add the relevant Group_ID into the Event table in order to 'create' the link between an Event and a Group ?
Could you liaise with the tech guys in StackIdeas to answer me?

Thanks in advance
Henri

Hey Henri,

Yeah, it is possible also. So, for example there is

Group A - ID 201

Event B - ID 555

If you want the Event B to be displayed as the Group A Event, then in the table #__social_events_meta, set the Group B id to the Event B.
