Hi all.

In essence, I want to have two blogs, one for company news, standard style, the other as a portfolio, so cut down to showcase the images more.

How would I do this?

I need it this way so that i can use the autoposting etc to update my social accounts with latest work etc.

Many Thanks

Gary
Hello Gary,

I am sorry but I am not too sure if I understand you here. When you mean different layouts, do you mean you want to customize the theme files? Unfortunately right now you can't have different layout files for different categories but you can create different menus to different categories and use CSS to alter the styling since there is a css class wrapper that is added on the page.

Thanks for your reply.

What I want to achieve is two menu links, one called blog and another called portfolio.

Both go to Easyblog categories.

The blog layout is fine as it is.

The portfolio layout will be similar to the blog, but with larger blog post avatars, two columns and simplified.

Its a simple requirement, but is it simple in Easyblog?

Hello Gary,

Ah, if that's the case, then you just need to inspect the source of the page because we actually add a css class wrapper in EasyBlog. Maybe you could provide both links to the site here and I will inspect this for you?

But if I change css etc, it will affect both blogs?

Nope, since they have different classes based on your category id's

Hi Mark,

http://www.stressfreemedia.co.uk/final/

There will be three 'blogs

PORTFOLIO

TESTIMONIALS

NEWS

PORTFOLIO ideally needs to be two columns, you can see I have already put lots of 'posts' in there. it will look much better as two columns with bigger images.

TESTIMONIALS will be the same as PORTFOLIO but ideally styled up a bit to look more like testimonials/quotes.

NEWS needs to be two column but as a standard blog with my avatar, posting date etc.

How can I make this happen? or can you do it? I need to get it sorted ASAP.
