I have decided Joomla is too complicated for me and want to move back to Wordpress. Are there instructions somewhere on how to export my files?

Thank you,
Celia
Hello Celia,

You just have to make a sql dump for all the tables that has the prefix of #__easyblog_* . If you want to have all the Easyblog post, they are in #__easyblog_post . Hope this helps.

Nick,

I've tried that. But when I try to import it into Wordpress it looks all jumbled and confusing. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Is asks for me to "Double-click on an element below to select it and its siblings." I don't know what that means. Am I exporting wrong? I selected only the ones marked like you said. See attachment.

Thanks,
Celia

Hello Celia,

I don't think you could actually import sql dumps from Wordpress because based on your screen shot here, it does seem like it's looking for an XML file from another Wordpress site.

Yes, that is correct unless there's an importer that would import EasyBlog database schema over to Wordpress.

So... basically I'm trapped? This is very distressing.

Hello Celia,

You are not trapped. You can consult Wordpress support whether they have a solution to import Easyblog xml to wordpress. By the way, I've found this which might be useful for you. Easyblog to Wordpress

Hope this helps.
