Hello,

I'm needing to change the email that goes out to blog subscribers so that it's left justified (not centered) and has a "Readmore".

If we add a "readmore" to the blog post will it reflect this in the subscriber email?

I see from other posts that there are two files to edit - both PHP files (email.blog.new.html.php and email.template.html.php) and I don't know PHP. I'm hoping this is clear once I get in there.

That said, if I change these files, will they be overridden after every time I have to update EB?

Any assistance is most appreciated.
Thanks,
Jenn
Also, it's EB 5.0.30 - that's why I want to confirm the files. Not sure if it is different from other versions.

Hi Jennifer,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here.

You can try to take a look on the following file here, /components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/emails/html/post.new.php if you want to modify the content inside the email for each new blog post on your site.

In addition you can use template overriding if you do not want the change to get override after each update. Refer to the following url here on how to use template override, http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/customizations/template-overriding .

Hope these help.

Hi there,

Not the greatest instructions but hopefully, I've pulled it off. We'll see next time she does a blog post.

Thanks,
Jenn
