On Easysocial, we have included those positions as you can see here http://take.ms/yUiIG as you can configure them accordingly. For Easyblog, there are no positions included on that current views and you need to included them separately, or you need to do some modifications on your files. Maybe you can consult with you current template service provider regarding this and see how it goes.

By the way, for your informations, in order for you to view those positions on your site, you can append ?tp=1 on your web url as for example below. Maybe you can get the exact view of those positions on your site.

As for example, using protostar(Joomla Default template), there are position-8 as shown http://take.ms/fQPNa where you can put some modules and etc on left side of your template.
