So I view the site on a reasonably large monitor and what I am finding is that album covers and thumbnails for images in albums are horribly pixelated.

I don't understand why this is happening as in order to create the thumbnails the images are being shrunk not enlarged so the pixelation seems very strange.

is there somewhere I can set parameters for this.

Hi there,

Currently, if we use files given by Mark will cause your site slow to load those images. So i found another alternative and applied css codes below at this path templates/protostar/html/com_easysocial/css/custom.css and it should shown correctly but more smaller width.

Please give it a check and see how it goes.

Hey John,

Most of our customers prefer to use the thumbnail version, especially on the album browser because some albums may have up to hundreds or thousands of images. Having to render the full image size, could be catastrophic for them. If you need it to be rendered using the large variation, you may download the attached file and upload it into /templates/YOUR_JOOMLA_TEMPLATE/html/com_easysocial/albums/layouts/

We would be OK using the smaller image if we could force the thumbnail to stay small enough so that it still appears crisp - as this is mainly an issue on desktop monitors.

Hi there,

Actually, those prompted steps on previous is to show large image variations, but still shown as 'thumbnails'. It will use large image as your albums 'thumbnails'. Have you tried to applied them on your site and see how it goes?

If you need help, it would be best if you can provide us with your backend and FTP access for us further check them on your end. Please advice.

The suggested route doesn't exist and my main concern was that if we are using the full image usually 2mb this route might cripple the site as it grows.

I will add the details for you.

It seems you have implemented something as the thumbnails are better BUT they are no longer 'clickable' to load the full image.

Thanks - that is a much better fix - as I'll be able to edit the CSS to adjust to what I am comfortable with.
