I can see from google analytics that hits to bog postings are nowdays much smaller than before. All this happened after updating to latest version. I
It shouldn't affect your hit count from your Google analysis.

May i know which Easyblog version you update from?

Is it possible show us some screenshot regarding this and provide us your Joomla backend access as well?

Hi,

I can't remember anymore, but currently I have latest version and still have same issue.
I upload image from analytics to demonstrate this.

You can compare analytics numbers to numbers that easyblog shows:

Hey Simon,

Yes, based on your screenshot and the current blog hits, between the hits result difference is quite big.

Currently we do not have any data can be trace back why this happen, perhaps we can try update the same hit value from database, then monitor and see whether this still happen?

Hi,

You can do it....but this same has happen with all posts after that one upgrade. Is it possible to backup data and totally uninstall component and then installa again with current data?

If you go to post and refresh page it does not add one to hit result as it used to do.

Br,

Simo

If you go to post and refresh page it does not add one to hit result as it used to do.

I've checked in your site, it seems like you have enabled this "system - cache" plugin from your backend, which cached the page on your site, if you would like to see the hits result immediately when someone access your blog post, i would suggest to disable any cache plugin or system from your backend.

Hm, do you mean you did backup your site data before you update to latest version of Easyblog?

Hi,

I disabled system - cache plugin but it still do not count every page fresh. I think also that cache plugin will cache images etc, so it so still work normally.

Attached updated hit results. Thse are hits from january 1st to yesterday 7.4.

No, I mean that do you have option to backup component data and then restore it after new installation?

Sorry for late response but your email went again to spam folder

I am sorry for the delay of this reply, i believe the blog post hits already different, perhaps you can follow my guideline how to manually add the hit count from your database?
1. Access your database
2. Find this table #__easyblog_post
3. Find your existing post which you would like to update the hit
4. Once you know which blog post you would like to update, you have to update it from the 'hits' column, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

If your IP already viewed your blog post before, it will not add again about the hit count.

We do not have this feature to backup the component data, because by right it shouldn't affect your existing hit count during the update.

Hey Simo,

I believe that is no other way work around even Joomla article hit also will not show the total hit of that article immediately if you enabled the cache system, unless the cache get refreshed with certain hour/minute.

Imagine now the article hit is around 100, but when you enabled cache system from backend, for now it will cached full-page HTML output on the site, mean no matter how many different IP address guest user view this article page, it will still show 100 hit, but when other guest user view on this article, the system actually will execute the php script to add the hit from your database.

When it re-cache again on the site, it will show the total hit of that article on the page, same as Easyblog when you enabled Joomla cache system, it will still execute the PHP script to add the post hit from your database.

What i suggested is enabled "System - cache" plugin + ON - Conservative caching + cache time set to 10minute (you can refer on my attached screenshot below)

This cache level will not stop the php execution script on the page, mean when new IP address view your blog post, it will add the hit from your database but it will not show immediately the total hit on the page because the page HTML output already get cached. After 10 minute, it will re-cache the page again, in this time it will show the total hit of the article.

Hope this explanation will help.
