Hi guys!

I've seen similar posts related to this, I hope you can help me too!

I have 3 main categories in my EasyDiscuss forum, and on the main page in the category tree, I only want to display the main, parent categories.

Unfortunately, the child categories also appear, and it just takes up too much room. I can't find a way to hide them in the category tree ... can you help me? Thanks so much for your time. I've given all of my backend and FTP details in previous Support posts, but if you can't find them in your system, please don't hesitate to email me and I'll give you the details again.

Thanks again, guys, I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Best,
Ben
Hello loic,

You can download from this post thread.

**Notice : Remember don't test it on your Live site, because the beta version still not a stable version yet.

Best Regards
Arlex

Hello guys,

Sorry for the late reply. Please go to backend -> EasyDiscuss -> Settings -> Layout -> Categories and set "Show all subcategories" to NO Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Hi Adelene,

Thanks for your reply. I tried that, but I can't see the button you mentioned: I've attached a screenshot of my EasyDiscuss -> Settings -> Layout -> Categories screen -- I don't see the toggle button you're talking about. Do I need to upgrade?

Thanks,
Ben

Hello Ben,

Sorry for the late reply. Yes if you are on an older EasyDiscuss you might not have this feature. This is only available in the latest EasyDiscuss 3.2 If you are on a live site you can wait for the stable to be release before installing it. Sorry for not clarifying the version

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply, Adelene. Do you mean that the current release is not stable? My site isn't live yet, we're still building it -- but when will the stable version be released? What do you recommend I do?

Hello Ben,

Sorry for the late reply. Yes the current version is the beta version. We will try to get the stable version out within the month (next week if possible) but i can't really guarantee you this. If you ar eok with the beta version you can try installing it in your dev site Hope this helps.

Thanks!
