I do not want any streams to be visible to guests.

So I went to SETTINGS -> USERS -> DASHBOARD and I unchecked "Display Activity Stream for Guests"

I cleared my Joomla and browser caches but the streams still display.

Please help me turn off stream visibility to guests. I only want registered and logged in members to view streams.

Hey there,

Are you referring to https://casdaap.org/?

If yes, I noticed there is no activity stream on your dashboard as a guest as shown in the screenshot?

Am I missing anything?

Ya, I am able to access this group as a guest.

Can you provide us with your https://casdaap.org/ backend access and FTP access so that I can have a better check of it?

The reason that this group can be viewed by guests is because I noticed that it is a Public group. What Public group is the groups can be searchable and viewable by everyone.

If you really don't want the group to be viewed by guests, I would suggest you to set it to 'Invite Only' which is a closed group.

But does that mean they have to be invited by an admin or moderator? We want people who are registered members to self-join any group they want.

Yup. If that's the case, you can add a new hidden menu item which is '(Groups) Single Group Layout' and select the group that you want and set its 'Access' to 'Registered' so that only registered users are able to access the group as shown in the screenshot.

Can you have a try and see how it goes?

Take note that the 'Access' in the menu item is based on the Access Level from the backend.
