Please add an option in the admin area to enable/disable showing Past Events by default.

Thank you,
James
Hi James,

I believe a setting for this is unnecessary since the filter option is already there. But if you really want to, you can always modify the following file. https://www.screencast.com/t/avneRUI5
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easysocial/views/events/view.html.php

You can create a feature request for this in the feature request category.

Thanks Raymond, can we override Views via joomla template html folder?

I agree that is is a frontend setting but for us past events are only relevant for old data. So for us hiding it in results unless selected is ideal. Hence the desire for a simple on/off switch for the toggle.

Hey James,

View files cannot be overridden from template folders.
So for us hiding it in results unless selected is ideal.
Past events are actually hidden by default, unless the user click on that filter. Is this what you are trying to achieve?

I assumed you wanted to show the past events by default.

Thanks Raymond.

I have tried this and it doesn't work. I have cleared all cache, both site and browser, etc... the box for Include Past Events is still selected.

Hey James,

Can you provide us the site backend and ftp access so we can investigate this? That checkbox should not be checked by default.

Hey James,

I have helped you reverted the change made in the file mentioned in my previous reply since you do not want the option enabled by default.

I then checked the frontend and past events are not shown by default(https://www.screencast.com/t/vbxH5UTi5mfq). Is this what you wanted to achieve, or am I misunderstanding your initial issue?
