Hello, I was wondering if there would be a way to hide the HITS counter for blog posts, that displays on the Front-end Dashboard POST listing. I would like this to remain hidden from other contributors on the site.

Is there a way to hide this?

Thank you.
Hey Shane,

We don't actually have a settings for this because generally authors would want to view the hits of their posts. However, a simple tweak in the theme file should do the trick.

Download the attached file and upload it into /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/dashboard/entries/

Thanks Mark. I will give that a try. In the future when you issue Easyblog updates what would be the best way to keep this mod working when files get replaced?

Hey Shane,

Hm yeah you could create a template override by uploading that file into /templates/JOOMLA_TEMPLATE/html/com_easyblog/dashboard/entries/

Having said that, if it is a major release, there are possibilities that we may change "variables", but they are unlikely because we are pretty much satisfied with what we already have currently with the dashboard. But who knows, if technology changes tomorrow, we have to adapt too .

To do the override, I would upload the file you attached earlier to the overrides folder and that's it? No other modifications are needed?

I've never done overrides like this before so that's why I ask.

Yes sir, that is correct. But since the folder don't exist in your Joomla template yet, you probably need to create it via FTP first
