Hi,

I just noticed that some of the community details are showing to none registered users. For example Recent Activity, and side menus for News Feeds, Recent Users, Recent Albums, Leader board etc.

How do we turn those off so they are only viewable to registered users?

Mel
Hey Mel,

These details are entirely up to the user where they can configure this in their privacy settings as you can see here, http://take.ms/gSjpd

Hi Mark,

thank you. Are there any default settings for these i.e. where we can set them initially to registered members only? I have gone through all the settings and can't see where this might be done - or are you saying they are all public until each user sets them individually?

Hi Mark,

thanks I think I have fixed it now. I moved the main link to a hidden file menu and created a link to the login in place of the the original menu item and set its permissions to guest. Now it no longer shows the users activities etc.

Is it OK to do it this way? Not likely to cause other problems?

Hi Mel,

Do you mean that you want to hide the following display from non-logged in users(http://take.ms/GFJsf). If that's the case, you can try disabling this setting(http://take.ms/ov7My).

Settings>Users>Layout>Dashboard Layout>Display stream on dashboard for guests

Your method is also fine.
