Hello Michael,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

I have the same issue, can you post the solution?
Can you also clarify whether one needs to have the APP setup done to make the Fb Login work? this could be where I am going wrong!

Hi Mark sorry for not getting back in time. I decided not to proceed with adding facebook login on the site however I reckon Miner would still require a feedback and i would be interested just by way of information to know why we couldn't get it to function:)

Thanks for the great service.

Just a quick question Mark, is possible to hide the search option at registration stage but make it available after registration is completed? I have done this at the Theme settings but it seems to take the search option off both the homepage and when a user account is created, on the tool bar.

I await your usual prompt response:)

Sorry for the delay. I got it all working, just needed to build the Fb App and update the Secret Key and API key.
I must say I am most impressed with this component, its truly brilliant, great work!

Hi Austrin-Miner,

Glad to hear your issue now resolved

If i understand correctly, you want to the toolbar search to appear if the user registered and logged into the site? If yes, i might able to help you to customise. Can you provide me your site the ftp so that I can add in the hack to your EasySocial?

Please advise.

Hello Sam,

Not really. I have been able to determine how to display the tool bar search at log in. However, it does also display on the login page which I think is rather redundant as you have to have access to view users based on my setting.

Can the toolbar search be configured to only display after registration and not on the login/ registration page?

HI Michael,

I am sorry but currently there is no setting for that. Maybe you can try the below.

Open the file JOOMLA/componentns/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/toolbar/default.php and look for below code at line 44:

<?php if( $this->template->get( 'toolbar_search' ) || $search ){ ?>

replace the above with:

<?php if( ( $this->template->get( 'toolbar_search' ) || $search ) && $this->my->id ){ ?>

Let me know if the above work for you or not.

Hope this help and have a nice day

Hello Sam,

I have not been able to edit the code as you have stated above as I seem to be unable to find the particular file. I would appreciate it if you could assist with this using the back end login details as provided. I certainly have learnt to provide them in the right section

cheers!

However, I would appreciate it if you could take the time to provide me with a step by step guide as to how you got to the file for future references. It will surely save me time and perhaps one less issue for you to attend to

Once again, thank you.

cheers!

Hi,

Since this is a bug on our part, you won't have to worry as it will be patched internally and released in the next revision.
