I have a category published menu item that I do not want any post preview text to show up. Is it possible to create an override for this particular menu item to only show image in listing layout? I only want this view in the menu category view.
I am not entirely sure if I understand your requirements here but in the single category layout menu parameters, you get to configure them here, http://take.ms/9ooBZ

Is this what you are referring to?

Hey Mark,
Sorry about misspelling in post, I meant "TEXT" not test..

So where in that menu can I control text truncation?

Text truncation cannot be controlled in the menu parameters, it is based on the global settings. In EasyBlog 5.2, we have added the ability to truncate characters in the menu parameters for the latest layout.

Yay! I think this was my feature request too

Would there be anyway I could create an override for this in meantime please? If not I will wait. Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately that is not possible currently. By the way, this new feature in 5.2 only applies on the latest layout and not the single category layout.

Hmm, you mean frontpage layout? Because that is already an option now.

This is frustrating for me because basically I have a module loading in preview text and it's messing up the layout for this category view.

Not sure where did you saw this but in EasyBlog 5.1, there is no automated truncation for the frontpage layout.

I use latest version 5.1.15 and there is an option. see screenshot. However, this is for all categories/views/layouts correct? I want to control this per category or menu item...

Yes, this is the global configuration where it applies to the frontpage layout, category layout or any other listings. In EasyBlog 5.2, when you create a menu item for the front page layout, you may define additional truncation settings on the menu layer, http://take.ms/D6JFU
