Hi, I just installed EasyBlog is amazing how powerful it is.

Maybe you can help in something very simple. I'll hire someone to manage my blog.

I do not know how give user permissions on my joomla 3.4.5 to a new user and new group for use easyblog ONLY (do i need some new component or it is made in joomla users site)

I know this is a joomla thing and perhaps not of EasyJob.

But what I would like is to do exactly the same thing in your demo you wonder.

thanks you very much for your time.
kind regards
a happy customer

Hey Pablo,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. To achieve what we have on our demo site, you need to configure the "ACL" of other extensions on your site and not EasyBlog.

You can follow my guide here,

1. Create a new user group in Joomla and perhaps call it "Blogger"

2. Go to Global Configuration at the back end of your Joomla site as shown in my screen shot here http://www.screencast.com/t/EB59wnp9D0

3. Under the global configuration section, click on the "Permissions" tab and ensure that the "Access Administration Interface" is enabled for the new "Blogger" group.

4. On the sidebar of the global configuration page, you will find all the extension options. Go through each one of them and ensure that the "Blogger" group does not have access to them except for EasyBlog

Hello Pablo,

Correct me if I'm wrong, did you want to allow your user manage Easyblog from backend? If so, first thing first, you need to allow that user group to be able to login to your admin site: http://screencast.com/t/v8IEHv5H8tu . Then, Go to Easyblog permission settings, and set 'Allowed' to those area you want the user to be able to see: http://screencast.com/t/dKDywE9Xnbq

Hello Nik thanks for your fast answer.

what I want, is allow to user "blogger" to use easyblog like super-admin but not the rest of our joomla site. I think we must create a user group called blog (for example) and allow them to access admin site and to full easyblog menu. But I donĀ“t know do it.

I see in your pictures and that you teached me, to allow access to easyblog menu to users "registered" if I do that it doesn't run, I can access to admin site but screen is white. And I think it is not a good Idea (I have no one, but I think registered users will be all easyblog users.... isn't it?)

I I would like have just the same like your user "demo" in your demo site.

If create the user "blogger" in manager group, this user can access to admin site and see to much things, and I is not allowed to user all easyblog menu.

If I create it like superadmin it can access to easyblog menu but to all joomla site too

maybe you want see it direcly to our webside like super user

kind regards
