Hello there,

I am trying to translate "shared a link" in section "recent update" of easysocial.

I found it difficult cause the words have been translated in file .ini but stay in english.

So I did a deep search and come out the the file that control is a mix of text and link ... is located inj components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/stream/default.item.php and the line is

<?php echo $stream->title; ?>

that code has a mixture of text and links .. I want to change "shared a link" to "ha condiviso un link" but I cannot manage to find the origin to be changed.

Best Regards
Antonio
Hi Antonio this is Joe (from Italy) and I'm a normal user (as you) , member of the EasySocial Italian Translator Team.
I have right now translated the string you are referring to ("shared a link" is now "ha condiviso un link" ) and I suppose that if you deside to print a different message, you have to create a language override for [Italian (IT) - Sito] KEY --> APP_USER_LINKS_STREAM_SHARED_LINK .
See my attached screshot.

Hope this can help you to solve your issue !

You can modify it from the language file here JoomlaFolder/language/it-IT/it-IT.com_easysocial.ini

or you can use Joe suggested override in Joomla language section.

APP_USER_LINKS_STREAM_SHARED_LINK="%1s ha condiviso un link"

By the way, thanks for sharing Joe

Hello there,

I appreciated the reply.

The fact is the line was already changed in italian but not working, and from you change exclude the concept of the link ... saying there is a new link without showing the link.

the error some how is the following that generate the link and the error in italian
<a href="_QQ_"%2$s"_QQ_" target="_QQ_"_blank"_QQ_">

even if the english is working but in italian is not .. not even if I override.

For now I override as you suggested but as well I wait for a further answer to solve that show the link problem.

Best Regards
Antonio

It seems like you override that translation to English instead of Italian language, you can check my attached screenshot below.

Can you check again from your site, I already help you fix it, it should work fine now.
