Hello,

Click a post title and the first time you'll get a blank page. And shows the error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getUserStateFromRequest() on a non-object in /var/www/joomla/www/administrator/components/com_easydiscuss/models/notification.php on line 31

The version is latest one (5.0.35). It's OK before the upgrade.

Refresh the page and it will be OK.
Hi Derek Zhou,

I'm unable to access your Joomla back end. Can you please advise? May I know did you using the older version of EasyDiscuss? Would you mind to update EasyDiscuss to the latest ?

Hi Muhammad,

Do not upgrade EasyDiscuss please! We have developed something on it's template and it won't work on your new version, cause there's a major change on the new template.

Now I think you can login the backend.

Hi Derek Zhou,

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused . The reason you hitting this error because you have already update your EasyDiscuss4 and as you downgrade it to 3.x the latest file from EasyDiscuss4 is still exist in your site. I believe that you did not unistall EasyDiscuss 4 first before you try to install the EasyDiscuss 3.x.
To fix this issue, Can you please uninstall your current EasyDiscuss 3.x and re-install the EasyDiscuss 3.x back, and for your information, when you uninstalling EasyDiscuss 3.x it would effect your database, where all the data
of discussion etc will not deleted/disappeared.

Steps to uninstall the EasyDiscuss 3.x:
1. Click Extensions>Manage>Manage>Search easydiscuss>Select all the easydiscuss>uninstall
Please refer this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/QwyZrMap

Installing back EasyDiscuss 3.x:
1. Click Extensions>Manage>Install>choose the EasyDiscuss 3.x file

Hope this helps
