Hi there easysocial, this issue keeps on bugging me and did try to fix it internally but to have no luck.

As a user/normal user we usually saw a new hashtag (#hashtag) in frontpage (just like your demo) but when clicked it doesn't do anything (just redirect you back to homepage).

One good example is http://demo.stackideas.com/hashtag/17-joomla. What I'm saying is, is there a possible way to make that page public? If yes, how? Did try adding some codes of my own but didn't get any luck. I managed to create my own hashtag finder and trending hashes but this seems to be a roadblock for me (and my future users).
Agreed. Many of us want our content as public as possible to show our users the power of our sites (thanks to Joomla and ES.) Plus it's good for search engines to be able to see more.

Hey guys,

When you click on a hashtag, it actually redirects you to the dashboard with the hashtags filtered automatically. This will only work for users with access though.

Hi there Mark,

Yes, that one makes sense but on the other hand, the public doesn't have access on that page. Is it possible to make that page public?

Unfortunately right now, the dashboard is actually only for "registered users". We'll see if we can extend the hashtag's behavior in the future

Hope to see this real soon! I'll be willing to donate some code for the module of the most trending hashtag and newest hashes. But as of this moment the module doesn't really make sense without this.

Allowing an admin to make the dashboard public is an even bigger issue in my book. As in I want to be able to make it public so that search engines can see activity and users will be well aware that the site is being used quite often. This should encourage more people to join.

Yes, same here. Hashtags in all social network are public as far as I know (Google, FB and Twitter) so most of my users are expecting the same experience. I really don't get the sense of making it for REGISTERED user only.

If you're logged out, you can still search for the hashes or just click on it if the profile is public.

Hi Mark, as per email. I really think this is the only thing you missed in the past for consideration. As per customization, please send me details on what's the budget for this to make this happen. I would really love this to happen since I pointed out that all the social network out there have this and I don't want easysocial to miss something great.

Actually, we already have this feature. It's just not available in public.

The admins should be able to decide what's public and what is not for the site. Private messages excluded considering that they are called private messages.
