The guests app (you can see this in "going") does not display alt text for the profile images, instead it displays the title attribute for the images. Alt text is a requirement by the W3C. The title attribute in this case is not needed because the username shows up in the toolip. So essentially it's showing the username twice.
Hi,

Added internally. Will be included in the next release.

Hm, sorry but I can't seem to find which area are you referring to here. On the sidebar those images does have a title. Am I missing anything here?

The images need an alt attribute. The title attribute should be removed considering that they already show the user name via the tooltip. Most of the images on the page use proper practices, it's only the guest app (as far as I know) that does this a little differently.

Here's a screen shot showing the issues:

The one in white text is not an issue, but instead an observation to make the next set of text clear why I labeled the second title (the title attribute is not needed). And finally the alt text issue.

Thanks Mark. What about the title attribute? It doesn't serve much purpose in this context and is inconsistent with all the other profile pictures that do not use that tag. The reason you guys probably decided not to use it through out ES is because the tooltip serves as the title attribute.

I personally feel that it does not actually matter if the "title" attribute is there.

The title attribute behaves like a tooltip, but ES already uses one. This makes it a little bit redundant. It's not a big deal.

Anyways, the alt text still doesn't appear in the guest app (via the going filter). Online guest shows the alt text just fine.
