Good morning,

I'm having a problem on portugoal.net site in which registered users can post comments, but when a Guest tries to post it returns the following error: "SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data"

Can you check this? please.

Thank you!

Hi there,

Somehow, there are some cache issues on your site as it token is stored as cache on your site. It seems that JCH plugin caused this issues. I have temporarily disabled them and it should works as it should now.

Please give it a check and see how it goes.

Hi Warith,
Thank you for your quick reply.
The extension was recently installed, and the problem already existed before. It appeared from the last komento update. Remember you helped installing it because it wasn't working?
I don't mind putting it down, but unfortunately this doesn't fixed.. the problem persists.
check attached, pls.
thank you!

Hey there,

Based on what i checked on your site again, it seems like there got several plugin related the cache like JotCache - plugin, but i am not sure when i disabled this plugin on your site, did it only work fine for a while or will it somewhere still cached this Komento token on the page.

But for now, it seems fine for me once i disabled this plugin.

May i know do you really need those cache system enable on your site? If you would like only optimise your site load faster, i personally suggest you to consider to use pagespeed to optimise your site from your apache server, this would help you sort out most of the issue with cache leveraging, minifying of scripts and optimization of images without rely those 3rd party extension like JCH optimise plugin.

You can read more about mod_pagespeed from https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/module/

Hey Claudino,

I did notice you have a lot of pending email for those test comment notification from Komento, i would suggest you purge all those pending email to prevent those email notification spam on your site existing subscriber.

And i did help you enabled moderation setting for public and guest user group from your site backend, once you tested if this really fixed the issue, then you only disabled this moderation setting from backend > Komento > setting > general > general > Enable Moderation - NO

Hey Arlex,

I will definitely try pagespeed, as the only purpose is in fact to optimize the site speed.

I just purged the emails.

You meant that after I check all is working I can put the Moderation off again? Easier for the User...

One more question if I may, The only way to get those email notifications to work is to set cron service, no easier way to do it?

Thank you so much for your help.
kind regards,
Claudino

Yes, that is correct.

One more question if I may, The only way to get those email notifications to work is to set cron service, no easier way to do it?

Currently you can turn on this `Send E-mails On Page Load` setting, what this setting does is, as long as got user access your article page, system will automatically send out those email notification to your site user.

But if no user access your article page, mean it will not trigger system to send out those email notification on the site.

And if too many user access your site at the same time, it might send out duplicate email notification to your site user, is because too many user access the page at the same time, the system unable to handle it which email already send from the first request.

So, i would recommend that setup cronjob in your server is because you can set the cronjob interval time to 5 Minute or 10 minute, the cronjob will process it every 5/10 minute.

I see! ok. Will try Cron and pagespeed.
Anyway, in the next few days I wont change a thing just to be sure, as this problem is always coming back.

Again, thank you so much for all your help, Arlex.

All the best,
Claudino
