Guest users, who are read-only access, cannot upgrade or switch plans.

Cannot see why not.

I've tried to signup at site without login i am able to see the plans.
Can you share me the exact steps to replicate the same.

Hello,

On Masquerading Dating, after a user has signed up for a guest account, they don't get the option when they login, to upgrade to a paid account.

The user is Elaine Middleton. However, I can’t give you her password so if you need to login as her, you will have to reset a password.

Hey Julie,

I've checked your site and this user already subscribe to Guest Account another plan will be visible only when they didn't subscribe to a guest plan.

Guest account is just for browsing the website; they cannot interact or post anything.

If they then decide they want to join, they need to be able to sign up to a fully paid plan, so they need to be able to upgrade/switch to one of the other plans available.

Hey Julie,

So once users subscribed to a guest account, they can only upgrade their plan.
On the plans page, no plans should be shown or?

Also, you haven't setup the Upgrade rule on-site, so users will not see any upgrade option on dashbaord.
Can you setup upgrade rule and see how it goes.

Hi,

I took a look and the only upgrade that needed to be added to the Upgrade setting was the Guest account. This means a user can upgrade from a Guest, to a PAID membership and I think on the LIVE site, they are only offered a 6 months plan.

Business Users only get Business Access/Ability to create Business Pages, if they sign up for this on the initial sign up.

Then I spotted the user I was using to test it had an expired account, so I signed them up for a Guest account and that user could then only upgrade to Guest, or 6 months membership. There are other plans available on the development site, but just 1 PAID plan on the LIVE site for now.

I thought that some of the problems I have been having with the menus, is because the guest account cannot see "The Arena" menu, because most if not all of the settings are set to registered… Guest accounts are not set to access the arena, only Registered.
However, I upgraded this user to a 6 month membership, and they cannot access THE ARENA menu either!!

So:
1) How can I add the other 'upgrades' to the dropdown list - see screen shot of what the user sees. I can't remember what triggers it, even though on the LIVE site, I only need the 1 plan.

2) I have screen recorded the menu error problem that I have previously reported. I know I have closed that ticket, but you might be able to spot something I am overlooking with this menu problem.

3) How can I set it so a user can only VIEW ONLY (Guest), without the full capabilities of a paid member (Registered)? It might already be set correctly, but I just need to check this out.

4) Is there anything else that needs to be addressed for the paid membership and switching to occur?

I will need to check and verify these changes across the 3 sites, but I am currently only mentioning the Dating site here, as this is the only one (currently) allowing users to have a Guest account.
I need to offer a Guest login/account for Pets, but for obvious reasons I have held back!!

You need to set in the upgrade rules.

There are 2 arena menus one is set to registered user access and another one is for the Easysocial dashboard page, so for the EasySocial dashboard page user needs to log in to access.
Can you share the user password with me u trying on the live site.
