Guest cannot view replies

Hello,

I've set up a category and I've given permissions for "who can view discussion in this category" and "who can view replies in this category" to both the "Public" and "Guest" user groups.

But a guest can only view the first discussion post. He cannot view any replies. He gets a message "Sorry, but you are not allowed to view the replies here."

I've tested multiple times. So what may be wrong?

(The site currently is on a development machine.)

Can you provide us your backend and FTP access so we can have a better look on your issue here? Please advise.

Unfortunately the site is not online. We're just developing on localhost. Maybe I can provide you screenshots of configuration if it helps.

Hello,

Can you please try to go to Backend>User Manager>Option and re-save it. If this doesn't work, we need to debug your site. You can upload your site to server so we can access it.

I had a similar problem, it turned out it was within another category that had restricted permissions on it, so I had to change those permissions for it to show.
