Groups in multiple categories

Would it be possible to have a group linked to more than one category, or a suggestion of a workaround.
EG Categories of Movie/Stage/TV, Rock/Pop music with each of the genres as a Group... Elvis, Michael Jackson, Charli Chaplain....
Elvis would need to be in the Rock/Pop music category but would also need to be found/want to see things in the Movie/Stage/TV group.

I am really sorry but unfortunately that wouldn't be possible because groups will inherit permissions (acl) from category and it is not possible to inherit these values from different upstream categories
