This can actually be configured in the apps under the apps section of EasySocial. You just need to filter the apps by "Groups" type and edit the apps to disable those widgets.

Unfortunately, there is no setting to changing the position of sidebar in group currently, where currently it is only can be configure for profile and dashboard view

I would also need it to be displayed on the right side, like i have set it everywhere else

As there is no setting for make the group sidebar right/left. You can customize in the file:

.../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/groups/item/default.php

Where you can do template override for this file so that it will not override if you undergo update

You're suggested to backup the file that you want to customize beforehand for precaution
