Group blogpost doesnt show on frontpage

Hello Mark,

i am using blog apps in EasySocial for pages, groups and events. If i add a blogpost as admin an choose to link it to a group, it does not show on frontpage though its toggled on for this blogpost. As soon as i deactivate linking to a group, it shows on frontpage again. It shows well in group blogs.

If i do link with a page instead of a group it works as expected and the blogpost shows as well on frontpage as in blog of the page. Did not try with events.

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I've tested on my locally, it seems it did display those group blog on the blog listing page, may i know what is your group type?

Because if your group type is closed/invite group, it will not show these group post on the listing page, unless the login user have the permission to view the group so it will appear on the page.

By the way, I was unable to login from your backend, it seems like you provide us that login credentials no longer work.

thank you for your answer. I just updated my credentials in first post.

1. You are right, it is a second type closed group about. When i change it to open group, it shows blogpost on frontpage again.

2. BUT i am admin and group owner of closed group and logged in as admin in frontend. I can see this blogpost in groups blog, but can't see it on frontpage. This can't be expected behavior, can it?

3. Overall, it says, post of a second closed type (not open but not to be invited only) are shown in search results, so it might make sense, to show belonging blogposts to public too?

It seems like that is bug, by right it should show if that is group owner or Superadmin, i will log this issue into our issue tracker.

Yes, if the group is under closed type, this group should be searchable and the group blog post shouldn't get searchable.
