Group Albums workflow

Hi,

Due to my need of some sort of global categorisation for Photos I have decided to use Groups for this purpose. This sort of works although I don't have the ability to use the Show all albums view to display all recent albums / photos as it doesn't show Group Albums in the view. This has been explained to me many moons ago as correct logic by Mark which is fine I suppose for the majority of people but obviously not great for my purpose but hey ho, that's life.

What I'm really not quite getting however is the below:

1 - To create a new Album in a chosen group I cannot do this from the main group page. I have to click on a tiny link just below the Group avatar link saying ' x number of albums' which then takes me to a second slightly different view of the Group page with icons in the cover pic area for Discussions, Feeds, Files etc (note: No photos) and then on the left column there is finally a button to 'Create Album' . Surely it would be better to have on the main group page (like FB has for Photos and Videos.

2 - There appears to be no Module for Latest Group photo's / Albums, just for the normal Albums.

3 - Group Albums don't have the feature / favourite option / view.

4 - There is no way to order Group Albums in the same way normal albums can be.

5 - Once groups have been created there appears to be no way to order in the back or front end.

Currently we do not have a module for groups yet at this point of time.

There is no "feature" or "favorite" option in EasySocial albums currently but this will be added in 1.4

4 - There is no way to order Group Albums in the same way normal albums can be.

Hm, currently for normal albums, there's no way to order them too. Am I missing anything here?

There is currently no ordering option on the back end and front end but we'll be adding this in 1.4

- Absolutely no need to apologise for delay, I was not expecting a response so quickly.

Yes, but this is only if you are the Group creator / Admin. All other users just see a Leave Group button. There is no way or indication of how to upload photos or images. There is also no view for this either so I cant create a menu link. It would be handy if the admin could chose what the default page view would be either Photos, Videos (TBC), Discussions, Members etc..

2 - Currently we do not have a module for groups yet at this point of time..

OK, thats a shame. Hopefully one day the Latest Albums mod can have the option. If not I suppose some 3PD will cone along with something, its not the end of the World.

Sorry, you are quite right. I was getting confused with the All Albums View which does have this feature.

Hey Dave,

Thanks for getting back to me on this. Ah yes, we'll see what we can do to improvise on the UI for adding new albums on a group page. It really is very difficult to work with if the "component" area isn't as large
