Hi,

This is probably a question with an obvious answer, but I don't seem to be able to find the solution. I am using the (Posts) Grid Layout on the front page of my blog, which is great. However, I can't find the setting to use the grid layout for a single category's posts view or for the single author's posts view. How do I configure the blog to display in this way?

Thanks,
Steve
Hi there,

Actually, you can manage them accordingly, as you can see here http://take.ms/9GsF4 and for the showcase settings also. Those settings are on the menu itself.

Please give it a check and see how it goes.

Hi Warith,

Thank you for getting back to me. Unfortunately, that is not what I am trying to accomplish. When I click on a category either in a post or from the categories module, there is a view that lists all of the posts in that category (the GeoComfot.com site in development - http://www3.enertechgeo.com/GC/blog/categories/food-test). That is the view that needs set to the grid format. We need to format the view that is the result of clicking on an author's name in a post that way as well.

Thanks,
Steve

Hi there,

Sorry for my confusion on above reply. Right now, there are no grid view for each category and author views. Maybe you can change your current theme to nickel so that it will shown same like grid layout.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hi Warith,

Thanks for the update. It took a bit of customization, but I was able to combine the Nickel category and author views in with the customized grid layout I am using. Consistency across each view is highly desirable; perhaps it would be a good out-of-the-box update in future releases.

Thanks!
Steve

Thanks for updating us on this Steve. Perhaps in the future, we could roll out a different layout for category and author posts.

+1
Mark that would be cool.
because when it is needed to follow websites Corporate Identity and Design (CI, CD) it would make sense when also the category and author layout would look like near the grid layout when this is in use
i'm having right now exactly this problem - i want to use the grid menu layout. but the category views and author views does not look near the grid layout. the nickel theme is not a problem solver
