Hi

We are experiencing some issues with setting the location in events.

2 issues

Firstly any typed in location does not save - and if detect is used only the first suggestion will display a map any other suggestion results in a grey warning image that is so small we can't read it.
Hey there,

Do make sure you have inserted the Google Map API Key at Backend > EasySocial > Settings > General > Location. (Kindly refer the screenshot)

If you haven't created it, you need to create the key out at https://console.developers.google.com in order to use their service.

- Google Static Maps API
- Google Maps JavaScript API
- Google Maps Geocoding API
- Google Maps Geolocation API
- Google Maps Embed API

Please search for the above APIs and click 'Enable' in API Libary.

Based on what I researched, Google requires users who use their API key to add a billing account in order to access the full set of services and increased usage limits.

You can enable it by going to 'Billing' in your navigation menu, https://console.developers.google.com/billing.

If the issue still persists, perhaps you can provide us with your Backend access and Google access credentials so that we can have a further checking on this.

Hi There

I have verified that this was all set correctly I have added billing info to be sure and this has made no difference. I have activated the Google places API and tried using that also no difference.

You can access our site backend at

https://buildaport.com/administrator

username: test stack
Password: pa55word

For obvious reasons not least it being in breach of Google's T&C's I am not willing to give you my Google Login details but if you advise of a suitable email address I can add you to the 'buildaport' project which will give you full access to everything in relation to this site.

Hi

I think we have resolved this - it appears that we hadn't linked billing to the actual project.

Hopefully this won't get expensive!
