Thanks for the heads up on this! I didn't realize that Google Maps are also banned in China. Do you mean everything that is related to Google has been banned in China? I am not really sure if it's possible to actually use Baidu's API. Need to look into their API and see what they have to offer.

Thank you for your kindly reply. Yes, as menctioned, most products of Google has been blocked in China, even Gmail. We can not access maps.google.com, but we can access ditu.google.cn, The main difference is so called "disputed territory", such as "Taiwan" in maps.google.com, but "Chinese Taipei" for Mainland China's googlemap special version "ditu.google.com". do you have any idea to "change API loading call to ditu.google.map"?

Or BaiduMap is another Great work, here is Baidu API info. http://developer.baidu.com/map/index.html, sorry I can only find the Chinese version, looks like Baidu didn't provide English Version, please feel free to let me know if you need me to do some translate or search for some material or parameters for you.

Another map http://www.openstreetmap.org also can be accessed in China.

BTW, I download all code from ajax.google.com, code.google.com, google.com/fonts that EasySocail and K2 used in local via SSH, change all the URL link to local, now my site can be access in China without SSH or VPN, but the site still can not load google map, because I can not download google map in local ; ) hope we could find a solution together.

To be honest with you, I am not really sure if we can adopt this new map system as it doesn't even have an English Documentation I will see if we can implement in the future but at this point of time, our priority is on EasySocial 1.3 and EasySocial 1.4
