I'm sorry but when it comes to a native app, there is no way to easily customize things. It is needed to carefully evaluate the issue/implementation before we can patch it in the app. As for this case, we still need to discuss if it is possible to do so with any social logins.

Thanks for the input on this. Unfortunately the only data that we could retrieve from Google authorizations is their e-mail address. Do you guys mean you want to force the user to enter a username instead?

this is major problem. In my dating community users signed in with gmail show their email to whole world. Its againt privacy. It would be better instead to autogenerate random name. I have complains from users. I will probably need to remove google sign up. Just problem is for those who already use it. I already have cases of misuse.

It should not display their email unless you configured it that way. If you have a support question, please do start a new ticket and we are more than happy to check.

Hi Mark,

I think what he meant is a fallback or 2 option username, which is when username from Google is already in the system. Ex; Google username is 'Mike' but someone else is already have an account and login via Facebook with username also 'Mike'. This make plugin taking an email as a username, and display it everywhere as a username.

Yes hope there will be any updates now bcs over 5 months now since EasySocial latest version was released.

The username is not shown in the network. The only reason that their username is shown on the network is when you explicitly configured EasySocial to do so.

Some bugs are very problematic. It would be good if an update came out quickly now.
