Hi

only just noticed today that suddenly and via no changes on the website location tracking does not work anymore.

It acts like its trying to get location data but errors out.

I looked into the Google Api site and noticed that a URL SIGNING SECRET tab is now present in Maps Static Api section. This was switched on (never noticed this before). If i switch that off, (screenshot 2) then existing posts with location data will show the map no problem. You can see the new error message which i got before deactivating the URL Signing Secret (screenshot 1)

However, if i try to either set up a new profile and add location data or add a stream post with location data, nothing happens at all, Tried 3 browsers cleared cache, location is approved in each browser. I notice on The api stats page it basically is just erroring out each time.

As i mentioned since my last post i have had no issues up until i checked today. No settings were changed and the correct API's are activated

If Google requires now or in the future the url signing secret key as well, is this something that will be put as an option in easysocial?

For info tried both google maps and places as provider as you can see from the 3rd screenshot, basicallys it is always error out
Okay, had a suspicion on what it maybe after searching the web endlessly however it appears now for newly created projects etc you have to sign up and enter billing details regardless if you are going to hit the threshold. Those who have older projects on google apis will probably not face this, however recently created and those after the middle of July, may face this error, so you have no option but to enter your billing details regardless

I just signed up the billing details and the site immediately started working correctly again.
