Forgive me as I don't know how storage works.

Google Drive charges $1.99 / month for 100GB or $9.99 / month for 1TB

Could Google Drive be used for added storage?

I don't think this cloud storage iis supported yet, but in another month Joomla 3.3 will support remote storage in the cloud from various vendors .

This is the information I saw: which will allow extension developers to take advantage of the cloud storage APIs built into Joomla 3.3 core when this becomes available in April 2014.

Vision for 3.3

For 3.3, we aim for a smaller release focusing on the backlog of feature proposals. Some of the items we would like to focus on and ask for help with testing and review are:

MooTools to jQuery JavaScript conversions
Cloud Storage APIs < ------ Most likely support for Box.net and Google Drive and Microsoft's storage stuff and many others.
Microdata library implementation
Front end module editing

Your welcome Mark,

The new Joomla 3.3 looks interesting, especially the addition of the Cloud Storage APIs. This would be real good for future versions of EasySocial, with photos and groups.

Wow, didn't know that Joomla 3.3 will include others.

Looks like Box charges $5 / mo for 100GB and $15 / mo for 1TB

Thanks for sharing Randall.

Your welcome Peter. I'm looking to learn more information but I can't find much. It's less than a month away for Joomla 3.3 .
