We have some blog posts which embed a short code to an item on Amazon.com where if someone buys the amazon product, Dr. Carney receives an affiliate payment.
An example of such a blog post is at https://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/prevent-and-reverse-heart-disease-the-revolutionary-scientifically-proven-nutrition-based-cure

I suspect you have some tools already for Google Analytics built in or are building them for EasyBlog like it appears you already have for EasyArticles.

What we want is Google Analytics Event Tracking for two events that occur on these pages:
1)The Page View itself: While it is tracked in Google Analytics already, we wish to also track it as an event where:
a.Category = Product
b.Action = Page View
c.Label = Title Tag of Webpage (not the URL)
2)The click thru of someone to the page on Amazon.com, where:
a.Category = Product
b.Action = Link Click
c.Label = Title Tag of Webpage (not the URL)

How could we do this event tracking in EasyBlog?

We were looking at your documentation for EasyArticles here:
https://stackideas.com/docs/easyarticles/administrators/configuration/google-analytics-tracking-integration

This will be live eventually on our site at http://www.drcarney.com

Thank you, Sean
Hi Sean,

Unfortunately, I'm not really familiar with Google Analytics to suggest to you a good solution. From what I checked, currently there's no simple way to achieve this via EasyBlog. The analytics feature that works out of the box is basically just page view tracking.

This means you would probably have to do some level of customization from the site in order to get those info on analytics. If you want, you can submit a customization request to us at https://crm.stackideas.com and select "Customizations".

There is also a third party plugin called Advanced Google Analytics that you may check out but I'm not sure if it will be able to achieve your desired outcome without more customization.
