Hi Stackideas Team

As of now there are two ways to register on my site.
a) The drop down menu in the ES Toolbar
i.e. “Sign In. If you are new here, create your account now”
http://www.finalbug.net/network-final-cut-pro-post-production-professionals/registration
In this case I am taken to a further page called:
http://www.finalbug.net/network-final-cut-pro-post-production-professionals/registration/steps1
Why does this happen?
On this second page I add no add extra info I just press “submit”

b) The mini Registration which I am displaying here:
http://www.finalbug.net/network-final-cut-pro-post-production-professionals/login-here
In this case I am taken to a further page called:
http://www.finalbug.net/network-final-cut-pro-post-production-professionals/registration/steps1
Why does this happen?
On this second page I add no add extra info I just press “submit”

I have tried every thing in the Profile Types / Custom Fields Section of ES for the Profile "final BUG Network"

Is there any way of avoiding this second page/step and being registered straight away.

I believe that I had this working at some point i.e. mini registration took me straight to being registered!

Kindly advise

Paul
Hi Paul,
It seems the backend and ftp credentials provided is not working. Please advice, thanks.

Hey Paul,
For your site details on file, have you try editing them here? http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site
If it still does not work, can you provide us your site login for stackideas.com so we can investigate this? Thanks.

As for your issue, I have helped you set the following setting to 'Quick': Settings>General>Login>Quick Registration Mode>Quick(http://take.ms/yc2AZ)
Can you double check and see if the issue is resolved? Thanks.

Hi Raymond

You are of course 100% right.
I missed this setting as I would have expected to see it in the the Profile Type Section.
Now I am logged in straight away when I register.

I am still seeing minor issues though.

If you look at the screen shot you will see that I have set the redirect on login to “courses”
I have tested this extensively and it does not seem to work.

i.e. I would like people who register “quickly” to be taken to the “courses” page:

http://www.finalbug.net/courses-fcpx-and-related-post-production-tools

Kindly advise

Paul

Hey Paul,
For some reason, I could not login into your backend again with the new credentials. I tried a few times and now I'm blocked. Can you unblock our access? Thanks.
Our current office IP in case you need it: 210.187.148.176

eg:

Starting here:

http://www.finalbug.net/network-final-cut-pro-post-production-professionals/login-here

First Name: Joomla

Last Name: Moodle

User Name: JoomlaMoodle

Email: paurray+JoomlaMoodle@gmail.com

Password: JoomlaMoodle

Gives me: Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Hey Ray

Sorry that is Admin Tools blocking you.
I have unblocked you and increaed block repeat offenders from 5 to 50!!!
I think the second issue with respect the error message is occurring when I have the Joomdle User Check Plugin active and is probably related to this here:
https://stackideas.com/forums/additional-validation-for-username-field

thanks

Hey Paul,
Thanks for the unblock. However, I still could not access your backend. Is this due to incorrect credentials or the User Check plugin as you mentioned? Perhaps you can temporarily disable this plugin until your issue with the registration is resolved?

It seems like it can't pass through the joomdle username validation during the registration, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Once I disabled "Auto create Moodle users" option from Joomdle, it work perfectly fine.

By the way, I already help you enabled back this setting from backend, if you would like to verify it, you can disable it from backend then try register again, it should work.

Also, I noticed Joomdle developer post something on our forums, I will continuous on his thread.

Hello Arlex

Yes this is the conclusion that I was coming to as well.
Making the registration process simpler certainly can not do any harm.
And yes it is good to have confirmation that Joomdle is causing this problem.

It would be great to find some way with Antonio from Joomdle to get this to work.

I will mark this as solved and really hope that something productive comes out of the other thread.

thanks as always

Paul

No problem Paul

But I will probably response Antonio when I reach office later Morning, because now already midnight 1:22am here.

As a gentle reminder, kindly start a new thread if you have any other issue in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiry. I will lock and mark this thread as resolved.
