Does easyblog support active gif images? I uploaded one to media manager and placed it in a post but it does not seem to be animated.
Yes, Easyblog did support GIF image, but in order to show GIF image you have to make sure disabled this "Resize Original Image" setting from backend and after you uploaded that image, you have to choose to show original image, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Ah I see. So I use that option in EasyBlog now and would not want to disable it. Maybe the best option here is just to upload GIF's into separate image directory outside easy blog and call them into posts that way?

Currently I can't tell you whether this is the better way to support GIF image in Easyblog yet, based on what i know is as long as the image get resize process, it will no longer show animated.

Perhaps you can submit a feature request regarding this on our forums.
