Everyday in Recent updates segment of the Community page I see that an anonymous avatar is reading some k2 article.
What?
Who are these people? Are they ghosts? Is the system set up to mimic busy online activity or is this a bug.
How do I stop this?
Hey Eric,

In the future you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies So we can check on this issue once you provided with your Joomla backend and FTP access.

I just updated this K2 app in your Easysocial. -> http://stackideas.com/apps/item/63-k2-app

Okay, keep us updated then.

By the way, I noticed your site do not have any Joomla article, if you would like to test this, try create a new article and display on your frontpage.

What caused the "ghost" user? My ES dashboard always shows an extra user online as well..

Hey Peter,

I would personally prefer that you start a new thread and provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this.

Okay so far so good. when I visit an article as a registered member it shows up in the everyone feed. when I view the article logged out it does not show up in the feed so I guess the anonymous visit are gone.
Thanks for the update. I had a k2 plugin. I didn't know I needed the app.

Uh oh! I spoke too soon!

When logged off and viewed any article then I see I am reported as an anonymous reader. Is this right?
Is the k2 app only supposed to list registered users or just anybody off the street?

I click "News" on the menu, open an article and there I am on the everybody feed.

No I don't think the problem is solved. when logged off I am reported as an anonymous reader. Is this the way it's suposed to be. Can I tell the app not to report people reading articles off the street, only registered members?

Hey Eric,

It seems like work fine even I logged out today, perhaps you can replicate this, just keep the stream on your site, so I can track back the data.
