Hi Mark & Team,

Need your URGENT help on Registration, we made our Event Registration live and using ES for user profile and it suddenly just having this issue.

I have not had this issue before, I upgraded to v1.2.22 and just got an email about users are complaining that non of their emails are being accepted by the registration.

Here's a screen shot: http://screencast.com/t/L2rIbpVbMYe9

I checked the default Profile Custom Field Email and I have not set any regex for domains or email.

Here's a screen shot: http://screencast.com/t/Ea6bvkM75a3

I just talked to one of the Staff that registered almost 300 users manually, and the feedback is the same and sometimes the message is "Password does not match or something..."

My default Profile is Community and the login info is under the main Site Details.

Thanks,

Jackson
Hello Jackson,

Hm, not entirely sure how to reproduce this issue but when I accessed your site and typed in a test email, it seems to be working fine for me, http://screencast.com/t/amFNHunUKkS

Hi Mark,

What's strange is, it is not doing that all the time. you can try tsangkaba at gmail.com and see if it give you an error, even with that email it does not do it all the time. You can try several email addresses/domain it will somehow appear. If you move from page to page the ajax behaviors seems to be different. That is where I get the error, but if you're at a page where you don't get that error it will work.

Is there a quick fix to the field, like disable the ajax check?

EDIT: Mark, in case you'll able to make that error appear. I just tried and when I click Register Now! button the form triggered another call to check and the error text disappeared. I think that was just the javascript not able to clean up the message but it sure does cause user confusion

Thanks,

Jackson

Hello Jackson,

Hm, yeah but we have improvised these error messages on EasySocial 1.3 and I think it would give a better look to it. Anyway I think the problem is actually because the switching between entering the email and clicking of the button is too fast that the AJAX response did not return first.

That is what I am thinking as well, it does happened when I type or click too fast and AJAX does not have time to response. well, we can't tell that to end users

Can you think of, by any chance a quick override for now until v1.3 become stable and I can upgrade?

Thanks,

Jackson

Hi Mark,

Any news on this?

Sorry to bug you on this, I am getting turned down by departments I'm offering to move over to our new Registration System just because when they told leaders of their constituent about and leaders tried to register, and some of them get this error I got a negative feedback. Surely, we cannot tell end users to ignore the error and go through with the registration process.

I would appreciate your immediate help on this.

Thanks,

Jackson
