I am trying to upgrade Easyblog from version 2.X to the latest version. Following the instructions I uninstalled the current version and am attempting to install the latest version.

I am getting the ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND error after the upload is complete.

I have phpinfo showing the max file upload, etc is correct:

http://teflworldwideprague.com/phpinfo.php

Is there any way to get this installed quickly?
So, I manually installed in finally by uploading and extracting it to it's own directory.

I'm now getting the following errors:

Warning: require_once(/vservers/twpteflworldwide/htdocs/media/foundry/3.1/joomla/framework.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /vservers/twpteflworldwide/htdocs/components/com_easyblog/constants.php on line 225

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/vservers/twpteflworldwide/htdocs/media/foundry/3.1/joomla/framework.php' (include_path='.:/php/includes') in /vservers/twpteflworldwide/htdocs/components/com_easyblog/constants.php on line 225

With some research I found that the easyblog is no longer supported in v1.5, but I must ask why do you have a v1.5 installer making it seem like it works? We resubbed to get this update and to get support and it seems now like it's a waste.

We have many plugins requiring 1.5 so updating to 2.etc is not possible.

Is there any fix for this?

Hello Cheryl,

You should download version 3.8.x as the latest version of EasyBlog no longer supports Joomla 1.5. You can download the latest branch of 3.8.x from http://stackideas.com/downloads/archives/easyblog

Hey Mark,

Thanks. I had figured that out on another forum post. You guys should really remove the 1.5 download link on all the other versions if they're not compatible. I've tried to uninstall the 3.9 from the install and it came back with an error saying it had to be done manually.

I downloaded 3.8 and and installed it and everything worked fine. This also fixed the image upload problem which is why we originally needed to upgrade.

Thanks.

Hey Mark,

In the dashboard, the download button says 1.6-3.x (though only when you click on it which may be confusing for some people, but I noticed it) but when you click on "other versions" it has install buttons which download files for 1.5, 1.6-2.5 and 3.0. I've attached a screenshot.

Its this URL: http://stackideas.com/downloads/archives/easyblog

This made it seem to be that if I can click the 1.5 button and it downloads then obvious it works in 1.5, but thats not the case.
