Hi

HAve 2 blog categories set up on seperate menu items and am trying to set different template for 2nd category.

Default is set to elegant red and trying to set elegantblue to second category.
Have copied over elegantblue theme folder to /templates/photobox/html/com_easyblog/themes/ and can then select as custom theme but not seeing any changes to blog both still display as red. Have cleared browser cache but still displaying. SOmething else I need to do?

website is http://www.bvgs.co.uk
looking to keep blh blog as elegantred and aboutus/STEM blog as elegant blue

Thanks in advance for any help you can advise.

Hey Richard,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hey Richard,

It seems like you are using a much older version of EasyBlog 5.0.16, the latest version is 5.0.28. Can I update your site to the latest version first?

Hey Richard,

Ah, okay I think there's some misunderstanding here. I thought you have customized the html files rather than the css. The "custom" theme doesn't actually render css. It allows you to have a different (html) output based on the theme files. It seems like you want to use a different "css" based theme instead.

Currently the category doesn't support that I will see if we can add this into the next release.

Ok so now I am confused , what does this mean then within a category setting?

Custom Template
Custom templating allows you to create different theme files based on the category item that you are viewing. This is usefull when you want to display different themes when viewer accesses different category on the site. This template will be applied to the Item View and the Single Category View.

Hi Richard,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here.

I can replicate the issue in my local instance where the chosen category custom theme is not being rendered on category view. I will forward this to our developers and hopefully they can come up with the fix soon.

Thanks for understanding.
