White page after last update of EB script maintenance DB

Get error after last update of EB when you try to Mainenance --> database of EasyBlog 51.10 this message.

An error has occurred.

0 syntax error, unexpected 'return' (T_RETURN), expecting function (T_FUNCTION) or const (T_CONST)

Update 26 Aug 2017----

After latest update of EB I got a white page instead and this is same problem as before reported here.. Cheers! So its like a problem that comes back again..

Where are you seeing these errors? I tried to access your site and I don't seem to hit these errors, http://take.ms/BCE08Z . By the way, the FTP access doesn't seem to work for me, could you please help me out here?

I see you tried only EasySocial and the problem is with EasyBlog..

Pls check this out and the ftp login should be with the Sitedetails. They dont work?

That was known issue, can you try download my attached file and replace into this JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easyblog/models/maintenance.php and see how it goes.

I had the same problem Mark... so I downloaded that php file and replaced the existing one.

Now when I click on the link for Easyblog > Maintenance > Scipts

...it doesn't show that error code anymore, instead it just shows a white screen.

I'm running PHP7 with fastcgi enabled

Do you have any ideas on what the problem might be?

Hm, this is odd because the fix that Arlex provided should already fix this. Can you start a new ticket and provide us with the login and ftp access so that I can check on your site?

there after the last update with EasyBlog there is the same error coming back again with white screen..


administrator/index.php?option=com_easyblog&view=maintenance&layout=scripts

Give you white screen for this update script

Hey Stan,

Hm, ideally you do not need to access this page any longer but I think the problem was due to one of the faulty upgrades earlier. I tried to connect to the FTP with the provided FTP access but it doesn't seem to work. Can you please advise?
