Hello,

I have installed the search option for EasyBlog on my website but when I search for specific blog titles - hundreds if not thousands of returned search articles come back even though I am using a title that is specific to a blog.

Is there a way to make the search function more reliable? Are there search parameters that can be used?

I have tried "Blog Title" but still the same results and most results are not related to the search.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
Rob
Hey Rob,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Are you using the search in EasyBlog's toolbar? It actually searches for the title and content of the blog post. Just searching for the title doesn't make sense in my opinion.

Hi Mark,

Mark this could have waited - but your the best!

Even if I searched for a word the return would be related and non related. I am testing the EasyBlog search module - it should be the same as the EasyBlog toolbar search, am I correct?

What I was trying to do was search for a specific blog I wrote by title. Just trying to be able to have search operators in place for my end users.

Thanks for your reply. Happy Birthday!

Regards,
Rob

Hey Rob,

No problem Hm, it actually searches for the post's content as well and this is why non related searches based on the title is also showing up.

We can't just single it down to searching by titles as it would then be too specific
