I checked last August and this feature wasn't available at the time but thought I'd check again. Is it possible yet to add a gallery to a blog post that shows a main image (with scroll buttons), with the other images below as thumbnails like the ones that can be created in Widgetkit - see example. For that matter is there any chance that Easy Blog could become compatible with Widgetkit just as K2 is?

Thanks

Jamie
Hello Jamie,

Could you please provide us with the screen shot of what you are after? We are currently working on EasyBlog 4 and this is also part of our "To-do" list.

Hi, sorry, I included a link to a page which shows this but here's a screenshot as well that shows such a gallery.

Hello Jamie,

Hm, in this module there's no title or anything that's showing up on the module. Do you mean you want such modules that just displays the blog images?

Hi Mark

Sorry, I feel like I'm being a pain here by not being sufficiently clear - I should have taken a bigger screenshot to show more of the page. If you take a look here http://www.conquest-uk.com/blog/item/50-stunning-georgian-revival you'll see a blog item that I've done on a site using K2 as the blogging component (also shown in attached screenshot). The blog item has a widgetkit gallery in it - as Widgetkit is compatible with K2 and can be inserted easily using shortcode. I often use widgetkit as I use Yootheme for templates and widgetkit comes as standard with it. Also widgetkit has a lot of gallery options such as the one shown on my link which my customers really like. However Easy blog is in my opinion an even better blogging component than K2 and I love using it and would use it even more if it either had nicer gallery functions such as the one shown - or if it was compatible with Widgetkit so that I could use the galleries they have available with Easy blog.

Does this help clarify things?

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for the clarification on this 'gallery' feature from widgetkit. If this weigetkit using the content plugin to convert the shortcode into a nice gallery with scrollbar, then have you try insert the shortcode into EasyBlog content? EasyBlog will trigger the content plugins when displaying the blog entry

Please advise.
