Hi

I am at a bit of a loss on this one ... I keep getting funny characters appearing in the blog postings ... for example instead of ' there is a ™

Strangely enough the problem doesn't occur in the title field .. only in the main content.

Default encoding is UTF-8, JCE is set to UTF-8, database and tables are UTF-8

Any other ideas?

Many thanks in advance
Hello, I have this issue right now in Easyblog.
I have the character ™ after the readmore.

--> I think that in this place I have this character.

What should I do with the Content Optimiser plug in?

Thanks,
Jose

Hello Jose,

Hm, sorry not really sure if I understand you correctly but do you mean your content plugin is generating these characters?

Yes. Like the original post of Jane.

Hello Jose,

Unfortunately I am not really sure what this plugin is actually doing but the fix was to just turn off this plugin earlier. I am only guessing that the plugin is not using UTF-8 safe string functions in Joomla. You should consult this with the plugin developer to look into this.
