Hello I cant get the front page to order from newest to oldest. I have all the ordering settings set to creation date. Some posts seem to order then a few are in the wrong places. Can you advice?
Hey Karen,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue? You may store your site access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so you don't have to provide these information all the time

Hello I have added the admin and ftp details to my dashboard. Then can you remove http://www.brookstonewebandgraphic.co.uk from the support domains and replace it with accesstalent.co.uk.

Thanks

Regarding with your issue, it seems like only happen on Nickel theme and i can able to replicate this in my locally, I will lock this issue into our issue tracker.

And i will keep you update once our developer fix this in internally.

Hey Karen,

I already consult with our developer regarding this, actually that is correct behaviour the way we use masonry library Javascript to populate column layout in Nickel theme, you can refer on this link ( https://medium.com/@andybarefoot/a-masonry-style-layout-using-css-grid-8c663d355ebb ) (Copy this whole link)

So that Javascript according the shortest column height then display the column first on the page, you can check my screenshot here for further explanation : http://take.ms/ZcSJ1

If you would like to display the 3 columns for your blog listing page, perhaps you can consider to switch the blog menu type to Grid layout, so it will show 3 columns as well. -> http://www.accesstalent.co.uk/testgridblog

Hello Thanks for your explanations but thats doesn't quite explain the layout ordering issue. I have used this theme before on this site https://www.stoneseed.co.uk/stoneseed-blog. Which ONLY uses 1 category. As you can these are all different height too but are still ordered correctly.

If you also filter by category on the accesstalent/testblog then they appear in all the correct order even though again they are different heights.

Why are these in the correct order http://www.accesstalent.co.uk/testblog/tags/client. Yet being different heights?

I was unable to check on this page is because you doesn't render the day for this blog listing page.
https://www.stoneseed.co.uk/stoneseed-blog

Why are these in the correct order http://www.accesstalent.co.uk/testblog/tags/client. Yet being different heights?

The ordering is very wrong in the last one shouldn't it be numbered this way. (attached)

I would recommend altering the option to toggle this function. Its not a very good way of ordering posts especially if you have specifically told them to order my created date when they are not?

Since there isn't away to resolve this as its a function built into the nickel theme. I have set the posts to a specific height so they order by date order now.

I would highly recommend you update this theme with a switch you can turn on and off for ordering by height or by created date instead for the backend of the Nickel Theme.

I am sorry that could not help you much here.

Because the current Nickel theme only support this masonry architecture layout based on this ordering http://take.ms/7ppVe .

Perhaps you can request this feature on our forum here https://stackideas.com/forums/easyblog/feature-requests to have an option allow user to choose horizontal ordering for this Nickel theme.
